My Plants Loved Tropical Storm Fay

While I was inside moping, ready for an end to the continual days of rain and heavy winds, my plants were apparently having the time of their lives. I assumed they were getting way too much water and were practically drowning out there, but now that the sun's back out and I've had time to check them over and take some pictures, I see that they're flourishing!

Just before those stormy days, I had cleaned the weeds from our little jungle backyard. Once I had cleaned out all the weeds by hand, there was nothing left but dirt! So I put down starter fertilizer by hand, followed by some very inexpensive high-traffic turf grass seed, only to have the heavy rains begin the day after my seeding. I just knew all my grass seed would be washed away into the marsh, but it looks like it's doing great (although a little patchy), and the storm allowed for almost no watering on my part.
